GM & Segway's PUMA
The PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility), a prototype developed by Segway and GM, did its first appearance in the streets of New York. This electric 2-wheel vehicle was developed by both companies to allow commuters to move around faster and more silently in the city. On top of its modest price, the PUMA does not emit any polluting gas and its small size should help with urban congestion problems. Both companies are hoping to capture a new niche market, and hopefully save GM from bankrupcy. But I must admit, this is still one ugly vehicle.
