Wow…just…wow. I’m not impressed at all with Lindsey. I find her to be so stupid to think she can pull off being one of the most gorgeous girls of the 1900s. This is why she can’t do it “physically”: She has too many Freckles, she is too Skinny, she has no hips or fullness, she is trying way too hard, and she doesn’t even look relaxed like Marilyn did. Marilyn was an amazing woman, showing to me that women can be full, voluptuous, be a size 14, and still be beautiful! Lindsey probably not even a size 3; looks terrible, and should have given up from the get-go when she thought she could be the “next” Marilyn. HA! And my over all opinion, she needs to stop thinking she can go and be someone else, and starting living as herself. We all do it, why can’t she?
It’s obvious that Lindsay’s about to become the next tragic “suicide” -by drug overdose. Only she will agree to it.
And by the way… Marilyn’s measurements back in the 60’s may have made her a size 12 back then, but today that would be about a 4 or a 6. I mean she only weighed 118 pounds!

The answer is obvious. Lindsey usually looks alright, but these pictures of her are simply awful. I don’t understand how Bert Stern could have taken these pictures of Marilyn’s (actually second-to-last) sitting, and then decided to make a buck off of it for some girl who wants to copy her and fails miserably at even looking halfway decent. Marilyn was beautiful, and it shined through very nicely in Bern Stern’s pictures. But his pictures of Lindsey–ick!

Lindsey has a very different look to Marilyn, but she’s a very pretty girl in her own right (when she’s not dieting herself to death to try and fit in with all the other LA girls, that is).

Holy Mary mother in the manger, you’d think these people posting these comments were all extremely beautiful, had no freckles, with an IQ of 200+, independently wealthy and had all won an Oscar for their acting abilities. It is weird to me how some celebrities, for whatever reason, are assailed with more than an average share of criticism from complete strangers. Funny enough, MM probably was probably treated the same way in her day. Everyone immortalizes MM, but fails to recall she was considered an uneducated, white trash bimbo of that time. Um stacy … I hate to break the news to you, although reputedly sweet and kind; and yes, quite beautiful both before and after plastic surgery, MM was a train wreck! It was all Hollywood executives could do at the time to keep the public from seeing just how much she kept messing up her life (you’ll remember she did die at only thirty-six from an overdose of barbiturates and chloral hydrate). It is oh so easy to romanticize the past, especially when it was before our time since all we have is memorabilia for reference. If MM lived today behaving the way those there at the time recall, she would probably amass a sizable collection of the same mean spirited put-downs and sneers LL inherits. the only comment i have is that LL has a rather unattractive and disproportional figure that’s why i think it’s stupid of her to do the shoot even in a tribute to marilyn whatever her intentions were. seriously… chunky breasts and no hips? and that can also mean that the photographer hasnt done his job well… a true photographer will make a slug look like a butterfly without photoshop. and somehow i find it hard to believe that MM had plastic surgery (although i have no research to back that up) i mean realistically speaking with so many surgeries going wrong at this day and age with our technology having it done in the 50’s or 60’s so successfully just seems a bit futuristic but then again i might be wrong

This is certinally is not as prevocative as the MM shoot, and it’s safe to say LL is not as voluptuos as MM, and looks absolutely rediculous platinum blonde. I’m not here to start bashing LL, but I agree MM looked alot better in the orginal shoot, alot healthier than LL.
Wow. Very interesting photos and comments from all. I must agree with 90% of you that Lohan’s photos are really unattractive. Their personal lives aside, Monroe’s photos look more genuine, like you could climb right into bed with her(I googled all of them). Lohan looks very uncomfortable, like she’s posing for a 17th century portrait. Maybe it would have turned out better if they let her keep her normal hair and not used the gigantic fake lashes? Maybe not, personally I don’t think Lohan is attractive in any way whether she is mimicking or honoring another starlet or not.
The biggest difference, in my opinion, is that behind Marilyn’s sexy, sultry exterior was a vulnerable, strangely innocent inner that came out in her most beautiful and iconic pictures. I believe this is one of the many reasons she became so famous and keeps intriguing her fans. In this photo shoot Lindsay becomes exactly what the photo shoot is – A remake, shallow copy of the stunning original….

First of all jsut so people are aware MArilyn Menroe had a rough life and she wansn’t eve na blond she had dark abourn hair wich is brown redish natural color but hers was a very dark shade almost brunette.
This might be why they pcked linsey because she was the closest to red hair although Marilyns body hair was brown. She had more brunette or the bleached blond look with the brunetter body.
Most redheads not all were born without melon but had they been born with melon would probably be really tan. Also majority of redheads actually have blond pubes. Certain percent have red and some maybe even with brown.
